The Chico Cannabis Coalition was a CSU Chico student organization dedicated to education and decriminalization of marijuana. The CCC was a major participant in the Activists Against Apathy voter turnout events in the Free Speech Area. It was a large and influential student group at CSUC in the nineties, however the CCC has since dissolved. There are other organizations and groups in Chico that can be abbreviated by CCC.

CCC Events

  • Protest of a bust in Mechoopda Hall 1995.
  • Gathered over 1000 signatures for Compassionate Use Initiative — Proposition 215.
  • After the infamous Whitney Hall Drug Bust, the CCC led a protest of about one hundred students into the University President's office demanding that the arrested students known as the "Chico 10" be released.
