The Chico Community Band is a wind and percussion ensemble with approximately 40 members. It is open to participants ranging from teens to seniors. The band was formed before World War II and continues to practice a repertoire of marches, show tunes, and contemporary compositions in front of local audiences. The band typically has performances on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Veterans Day, as well as one at the Friday Night Concert, and one winter concert.

There are no auditions. Just sign up with CARD, and bring your instrument to any rehearsal at the Chico junior High School Band Room (room 503). Call Bill Schrum at 342-7816. Performance schedule available at http://www.chicorec.com
