The Downtown Chico Business Association is a group of approximately 450 downtown businesses. According to their website they are a "non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and maintaining Downtown Chico as a vital and thriving retail and cultural center." In addition to promoting the downtown businesses, they are responsible for many of the local events including:

• Christmas Preview
• Friday Night Concerts
• Halloween night "Treat Street"
• Holiday Tree Lighting
• Slice of Chico
• Taste of Chico
• Thursday Night Farmer's Market

These events are not only a source of promotion for the downtown business district, but the main source of funding for DCBA.
