Geohashing is an interesting way to meet other people. It was created by xkcd and the official website is http://wiki.xkcd.com/geohashing/. Simply put, you find a region (called a graticule) on a map, and based on the opening stock price for that day, a random location is chosen. This is the location where a meeting may or may not start at 4pm. This is similar to geocaching in that you must find the location using a GPS unit. Unfortunately, most land is private or really difficult (and treacherous) to get to, so most meetings can never happen. But it's worth a try (especially since you can earn achievements!).
