Helen Kinnee (December 25, 1913 - November 26, 2005), along with friend Wilhelmina Taggart, was a founding member of the Chico Peace & Justice Center. She was originally from Boise, Idaho but settled in Chico in 1952 with her husband, James. She was well educated with a masters degree in Entomology from UC Berkeley and went on to teach High School biology.¹
