The Mechoopda Indian Cemetery is a tribal cemetery formerly operated by the Mechoopda Indian Association and now operated by the Mechoopda Indian Tribe of Chico Rancheria. The cemetery is located on the land bequeathed by Mrs. Annie E. K. Bidwell along Sacramento Avenue in Chico, California. The cemetery is the last of two original sites in the original rancheria still owned by the tribal members. The cemetery is used by tribal members for burials, which may be performed in a traditional or non-traditional manner, as requested by the family.
