What do you know about Miller's Market?

Owner Roy Miller had a chain of markets in Chico and the North State. One of them was a E. 6 ave & the Esplanade. He lived in the big white house just beyond the Lindo channel bridge. Rival was Wentz Markets Chain thru out the north state.

During the 50's and early 60's, Miller's Market was located on the corner of E. 2nd and Wall Streets.  You could access the store's fountain cafe on the E. 1st St. side.  Marie Davis worked as a server and her husband, Harold "painted" signs for the store.  The Davis' lived on Sarah Ave. in Chico.

The US Bank occupies this site today.
