Monstro's has been a Chico icon for decades and continues to serve great pizza today, though after the COVID-19 pandemic the operations have changed significantly. Hours are not set, rather the only way to know when the store will open is to follow the Facebook page and look for an announcement that they will be opening that evening. During the summer they open 30-60 minutes later so the pizza ovens aren't running at the hottest part of the day. Customers can call the number at opening time (usually around 5 or 5:30) and place their orders, which are currently pick-up only. Greg will take down your contact information and texts or calls you to give you a 10 minute warning before your pizza is ready. Make your way down to the location on West Sacramento Ave and wait at the front door, he'll bring your order to you and take your payment (cash only).

Greg's recipes and commitment to making items from scratch are why Monstro's ranks among the top pizza restaurants in Chico, and it has been for decades. The unique store hours, method of ordering, and picking up make Monstro's feel like a "best kept secret" among Chico locals and Chico State alumni.

Monstro's Pizza has been doing all ages punk, metal and indie shows since August of 2006. Shows occur about once per week or more Tuesday-Saturday. All shows are booked and run by the Chico Area Pyrate Punx. Because of the operational changes from the pandemic including no dine-in option, live shows are obviously postponed indefinitely.

Not only is their pizza among the tastiest in Chico, it's also one of the cheapest pizza joints! Can't get better than that.
