Stick n Dip boasted a new way for Chicoans to eat food — interesting and varied food items presented in a stick shape were meant to be dipped. The location boasted 28 different flavored dips with favorites like Avacado Ranch, Tamarind Cashew and Spicy Garlic Ketchup. You picked the appetizer type and filling and they'd be fried in a spring roll wrapper. In addition to the forty three different stick shaped appetizers Stick'n Dip also offered a variety of quality items such as half-pound hamburgers, chicken breast and cheese steak sandwiches.  The restaurant, styled with primary colors offered a light hearted atmosphere where students and locals alike could eat, visit and have fun. The owner's offered a happy hour with 75 cent beer and student priced specials. Passing the restaurant by day the most prominent marketing you'd see is "Home of the Cheesecake Lollipop!" and by night on weekends was the "Moonlight Bar B Q".  The Moonlight Bar B Q was offered on weekends only from 10p - 3a and was a hit with their $1 Bar-B-Q skewers and "Beer Bathed Brisket Sandwiches". Even though the stick shaped food was beginning to resonate with a growing number of students and Chicoans the owner was plagued with high building maintenance costs and a billing error in the 5 digits on the local power company's part. In the midst of a tough and failing economy the billing error by the power company was enough to break the fledgling restaurant's will to survive. The owner closed the doors in mid November. This business was located in one of the former locations of 32nd Street Subs. After Stick n Dip closed for business, Maria's Mexican Restaurant opened for a short time.
