Tacos de Acapulco is a small mexican restaurant that may well be overlooked by many locals. Being in the South Campus Neighborhood, it is likely very well known to the student population. They offer a very large menu that includes breakfast items and all the traditional meals one would expect. Their vegetarian selection is fairly generous, and the menu even warns that the batter used with their chili rellenos includes egg. If you're looking for a burrito, they are very well stuffed and quite filling. Their Vegetarian Especial, in addition to rice, beans, salsa, cheese, and guacamole, include steamed vegetables. They include potatoes, carrots, and zucchini. Tacos de Acapulco offers a choice of refried beans or pintos.

If you're not looking for a la carte, their menu front-and-center are combinations which generally include chips and salsa plus a drink. Drinks can be fountain (combination) or juice such as watermelon (probably not w/combination). Look for the a la carte menu on the left by the cash register. You can dine in at Tacos de Acapulco, as they have a handful of booths, which are quite decorative with the fix-everything-tool known as duct tape.

2010-04-02 07:14:10   RATE: 3 out of 10...Ordered Cali Burrito which has rice, beans, cheese, any meat...and last listed ingrediant is "fries", which I didn't notice...ended up with a $7.00 tortilla filled 2/3rds up with store-bought, frozen, crinkle-cut french fries...it had a little meat, cheese, beans, and a few grains of rice... MAJOR RIP-OFF BEWARE WHAT YOU BUY THERE...ABSOLUTEY HORRIBLE and when I asked about it (stating my dislike and leaveing them with the burrito)... I was called a Mother-Fu*k%r by the chef/owner...Totally uncalled for... —24.7.144.209

2011-09-26 23:45:14   Good carne asada, decent prices and they are willing to work with you if you pay attention to your order. For example, if you want extra cheese you can ask for it as they are making it. It is also good that they are open late most nights. Perfect for an after drinking dinner! :) —24.10.48.62

2012-04-02 17:40:30   I saw an ad saying they have changed their name to Tacos Mary. Have not gone by to confirm myself. —71.193.17.175
