Thrifty Bargain is one of Chico's largest and most interesting thrift stores. They carry clothing for the entire family, electronics, furniture, housewares, knick-knacks, books, toys, and more. The clothing is separated by gender/age (men's, women's, children's), further by type (pants, shirts, etc.), and then by color (all the blue ones are together, for instance). This is great if you are searching for a particular piece of clothing in a particular color.

There is a sign on the wall that lists the sale items for the day. It is based on the color of the price tag. One day the blue tags may be 50% off and the yellow tags may be 75% off. There is a constant rotation of the tag color on sale. In addition, they have a senior discount day (Monday) in which senior citizens get a discount on all purchases. Saturday and Wednesday are 30% off for everyone as well. Watch for special discount days on major holidays too.
