2008-07-05 12:54:15   Hey there, Bernice! Welcome to the Wiki! We really appreciate the photos along Butte Creek. I assume it was you who uploaded them the other day before setting up a user account? Makes me wonder if you were also behind the anonymous upload of the other set of pics from the Humboldt Fire the other day. If so, thanks! I went ahead and reverted the change to the Regular Events page because I think the intention of the wanted link you replaced was to get a separate wiki page started where a collection of other events calendars could be listed (I can't actually speak for the person who originally created the link), such as the two you listed. It's definitely a little tricky trying to navigate one's way through all the wiki stuff when you first start editing. If you have any questions, please feel fee to contact me (either via my user page or email [email protected]). Again, thanks for the contributions and we look forward to hopefully seeing more edits from you! —StaceyEllis

2008-07-06 19:26:52   You're welcome, Bernice. Thanks again for the pics (now that I know for sure it was you), they're excellent! Just like anything in life, wiki-editing has a bit of a learning curve. If you don't feel ready to jump right in, I'd recommend the Help on Editing pages for some useful info on the "how-tos" which you can use in the Wiki Sand Box if you aren't comfortable learning on the "real" content. The best thing about a wiki, though, is that no one can actually make permanent mistakes, since the revision history for every page is always available and it is easy to revert to a previous version if necessary. So don't be shy, the best way to learn is often by doing. Practice makes perfect, as they say! Just be sure to have fun with it! —StaceyEllis
