From the road to the stage, The Flood pours every ounce of sweat and blood into its music. The 5-piece band layers intense visual effects (NEONV2, ArKaos) into a dark vortex for its audience to dive inside, drawing comparisons to Tool, Korn and the Deftones.

Lead vocalist Chistopher James is a force to behold on stage, weaving an intricate web as the instruments churn behind him. The band features brothers Jesse and Nate Minich on guitar and drums with bassist Jeff Eason and beatboxer Darrick Jones.

The Flood hopped in their tour bus and rocked venues including Mount Tabor Legacy Theater (Portland, OR), Dante’s (Portland, OR), Catalyst (Santa Cruz, CA), Maltese (Chico, CA), The Monterey Live (Monterey, CA), Studio Seven (Seattle) and Showbox SODO (Seattle) on a winter 2007 west coast tour.

This tour introduced The Flood's heavy rock sound to thousands of new fans, including famous producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins), who recorded the band’s debut full-length album at her Radiostar Studios in Weed, CA in 2008.

The Flood is gearing up to set out on their west coast tour this fall. Check out http://www.myspace.com/thefloodtheband for the latest news and tour dates!

2008-09-09 13:27:37   Hi! Thanks for announcing your gig in Chico on the events board. I just added a few links on this page for Maltese and Chico using square brackets and quotes — they can be used on the events board too. This makes it really easy for people to figure out where the Maltese is, for example. Edit this page to see what I did. Thanks again and all the best on your tour! —RyanMikulovsky
