The Wildflower is the most popular in a series of century bike rides put on by the Chico Velo club, drawing over 4,000 cycling enthusiasts. Since its inception in 1981, many routes have been added for riders of different abilities. The classic century is a 100-mile ride starting at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds and traveling through Paradise, Oroville, Table Mountain, and Durham completing a loop ending at the fairgrounds. It is known for the abundance of organic food provided for the riders along the course, and a family style dinner at the end of the ride. The ride is commemorated by a mural along the Midway Bike Path
