Gayle Hilleke has spent her career in a variety of positions in nonprofits, educational institutions and government agencies. All have had a common theme: the strengthening of communities. Gayle has served as an AmeriCorps program officer at the Corporation for National and Community Service in Washington, D.C., and as a project manager for the State Administrative Standards Project, a national assessment initiative. Through the Standards Project, Gayle helped nonprofits increase their capacity to successfully manage their organizations in areas such as finance, grant implementation, administration, training, and governance. Gayle holds a master of science in organization development from American University in Washington, D.C.
