The Dobama Theatre was founded by Donald and Marilyn Bianchi, Barry Silverman and Mark Silverberg. It is part of the Heights Library system and is connected to the Heights Library on Lee Road, located across the street, by a glass overpass. The current building was formerly a YMCA, which was established in 1950.
