This is a collaborative, community-driven effort to share the local knowledge about the Brandon, Meadowfield, Browney, Langley Moor and Littleburn area in County Durham DH7, England, UK. These are neighbouring villages located about two miles south-west of the city of Durham. They are all former mining villages originally built in the mid-nineteenth century to house coal miners recruited to local pits - except Old Brandon, which already existed.
