Conway has had several websites (e.g., www.thecabin.net, http://www.goconway.com/, http://www.conwaychamber.org/,  http://conwaypedia.net/) pertaining to news, historical photos, restaurants, and the like for several years. However, there was no central repository of actively-managed useful information about life in Conway. Thus, the need for the Conway Wiki.

In 2008, the seed of the Conway Wiki was sown. For a variety of reasons, it wasn't watered until August of 2011, when work on the Conway Wiki was officially begun! The first wiki event was held in September of 2011 https://guide.localwiki.org/Conway_Wiki , and it slowly grew until December of 2012.
