From their website:

"THE ILLUSTRATED GARDEN GALLERY was a cooperative gallery operated by artists from the Willamette Valley. It began in 1991 as a summer gallery in the small town of Toledo west of Corvallis and featured floral artwork by new and emerging artists. This first effort was short-lived, but seven of the original members sought to continue the cooperative venture by relocating in Corvallis and recruiting new members. They broadened the gallery theme to 'celebration of life and reverence for the earth.' After a time at the Cannery Mall, the gallery moved to Madison Plaza in downtown Corvallis (also the location of Starbucks and Noah's Bagels).

From these humble beginnings, the current artists' cooperative has expanded into a comprehensive gallery featuring some of the finest artwork in the area.

A wide assortment of original arts and crafts are offered at affordable prices. These include paintings, original prints, pottery, calligraphy, stained glass, furniture, fine porcelain, book art , jewelry, rock art and sculpture. A selection of cards and reproductions is also available.

The gallery changes exhibits each month and different artists are featured throughout the year. Reception times are posted in the Gazette Times and Art Spirit.

In July, 2002, the Gallery became Art in the Valley and moved to 219 S.W. 2nd St. We are now in our 21st year, still going strong. We do monthly stories on the featured artists for the Gazette-Times, and the Albany Democrat Herald and usually have a monthly reception. We sometimes have guest artists and this adds variety to our programs. We have had some local high school artists featured."
