This park is located just north of downtown Urbana and offers a nice escape from reality and is one of the only places with a decent sized body of water.  It is a small, narrow lake, but there are paddle boats for renting and if you are dying to get on a canoe, kayak, or row boat this might suffice for a short excursion.   It is also open for fishing. There are paths, picnic tables (some covered), playgrounds, wooded areas, and a good amount of open space for activities.  It is also an excellent spot for bird watching. It is open daily dawn until dusk. Crystal Lake Park is Urbana's oldest park, created in 1907 and it is 90.4 acres total.

Parking is available. It is very navigable by foot, but bike travel is somewhat limited.
