Kenwood Elementary serves grade K through 5th as part of the Champaign Unit 4 Schools and runs on a balanced calendar (year round) schedule. It sits on a 9 acre site in the Holiday park subdivision. The school day begins at 8:00 am and ends at 2:50.
Kenwood's Mission Statement: "Kenwood is dedicated to guiding the development of our children to their fullest academic potential, as well as assisting them in becoming life-long independent learners and productive members of society. The Kenwood staff strives to develop a spirit of cooperation and trust among themselves, parents, and students in order to achieve these goals."
Kenwood has worked closely with the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, particularly to run Demystifying Technology Workshops for parents and students.
