Kirkwood West, aka Jeffrey Harris, recently started sending out music to his peers and a few of his favorite producers before being picked up by Subtrak. His first release, Artificial Barriers, connects him with long time hero and favorite DJ/producer, Christian Bloch. With this first release under his belt, and many more to follow, 2009 is just the beginning. Inspired by the dynamics between silence and sound, Kirkwood West expands the techno genre and elevates listener through this music. Deep in the studio, he focuses on audio synthesis; fusing minimal with classic Detroit and Chicago vibes. With this deep focus comes outward action, where he can be found DJing and performing live throughout the Mid-West and West-Coast.
