Ohren Houston Clark

Born in Paducah, Kentucky, in 1902, Mr. Clark first came to Champaign in 1916. "My father got a job at the Illinois Central Roundhouse, then sent for my mother and me." For twenty-five years he worked in a garage before becoming a truck driver in the late forties. For the next twenty years he worked in Wisconsin and South Dakota hauling coal in a five-ton dump truck and "lumber, furniture, whatever" on a stake-bed truck.
