Xudong Guan began making origami as a child as a hobby. About five years ago he found a picture online of some intricate origami online which amazed and inspired him to begin making origami again. Since then, he has been folding origami in his free time. Xudong Guan was an official maker at the 2014 Heartland Maker Fest in Urbana on October 18, 2014.
