PSAs can be submitted as a digital audio recording or as a written message. Digital audio recorded PSAs are played on air by the autorotation script during unscheduled hours. Written PSAs are read by airshifters on air.

Digital audio recordings can be submitted as a track or tracks on an audio compact disk or as an MP3 file encoded at 96 kbps (kilobits per second) or less.

Written PSAs should be composed so that the airshifter will read EXACTLY, word-for-word, what should be read on air. Written PSAs formatted as fliers, posters, etc. will be rejected.

  • PSA shall not contain any references to prices, e.g. admission fees, suggested donations, etc. However, messages can mention that "a fee will be charged," "donations are suggested," "admission is free and open to all," etc.
  • PSA cannot make subjective claims.
  • PSA subject cannot directly be part of a for-profit, commercial venture.
  • PSAs shall be submitted at least three weeks prior to desired broadcasting.
  • Submissions turned in under three weeks will be posted at WRFU's earliest convenience.
  • PSA messages shall be composed in third person and not purport that WRFU is associated with the organization or event.
  • All PSA submissions should contain the following information: name of person and organization submitting, phone number, email address, first desired date PSA should be broadcasted (add date), and last desired date PSA should be broadcasted (drop date).
  • WRFU reserves the right to reject or edit the submitted PSA, and the acceptance of a PSA does not guarantee the broadcasting of that PSA. WRFU will notify the submitter of any edits or changes to the submitted PSA before broadcasting
