Pad thai is a stir-fry noodle dish that originates from Thailand. It typically contains egg, tofu, tamarind, fish sauce, garlic, and shallots and is topped with roasted peanuts with a lime wedge on the side to add a bit of bitterness (in a good way)! Pad thai may also have shrimp, chicken, beef, or another protein. Vegetarians may choose to request soy sauce in place of fish sauce and tofu instead of proteins previously mentioned.
