Rose & Taylor Barber Shop (a family-oriented atmosphere) was established in 1962. In 2008, R &T became a combination of a barber shop and a beauty salon (under the ownership of Carla E. and William A. Jones). Barbers and beauticians include Chris, Mark, Tino, Nate, Carla, Larry, and Samone.

Rose & Taylor Barber and Beauty Shop offers haircuts and styles, as well as texturizers, relaxers, color, braiding, dreadlock extensions, hot comb press and curl, and much more. R&T also has a new mobile hair care service called “Salon on Wheels” for those who are temporarily or permanently immobile (with additional cost at stylists discretion).

R&T services a diverse clientele and have everything from the classic traditional full-service barber shop to shoe shines, and also has the services at the beauty shop such as relaxers, highlights, braids, and more. The store is on the corner of First and Park St. in Champaign, Illinois. 

Rose & Taylor Barber and Beauty Shop is a member of the North First Street Business Association, which William A. Jones presides over as president.

Rose & Taylor Barber and Beauty regularly holds special events, such as community forums, barbeques, and Father's day celebrations. The Barber and Beauty Shop is also a sponsor of the North First Street Farmer's Market and a contributor to the Prosperity Garden
