The Digital Equality Initiative has:
Affordable, low cost Computers for the community and Non-profits and religious centers.
This is a joint, collaborative, multi-agency initiative that promotes access to equipment, access to broadband, and access to training. Volo sells refurbished desktop computers with flat screens, mice, and keyboards. They also sell a Windows XP, a complete suite of office, and internet software. Community organizations can request free computes, printers, and equipment. Classes are offered through Parkland college
Strategic partnerships can provide access to these to bridge the digital divide in our community. Working together, this community can and will be a model for successful Alliances to solve and current problem using available disposable assets.
