Minnie Bracy, 1983

Mrs. Bracy lived in Champaign since 1915 when she came here with her mother to join her father who had just gotten a job. She herself worked as a cook and housekeeper. She was a member of Bethel AME Church and involved with Douglass Senior Citizen's Center. For over sixty years she saw the community grow from muddy streets and scattered houses.
