The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center is a non-profit organization built to foster the creation and distribution of media and art emphasizing underrepresented voices and perspectives and to promote empowerment and expression through media and arts education. UC-IMC is the fiscal/legal sponsor for the global Independent Media Center network.

The IMC owns and operates a Community Media and Arts Center housed in the historic downtown Urbana post office building. The center includes a stage, community radio station, production studios, art studios, library, and meeting spaces. Members and non members alike are encouraged to propose new programs and offer events in the space.

Their calendar can be found here.
