- 4 students engage in hunger strike that leads to the 1992 opening of the Cross Cultural Center
- UC Davis Principles of Community are conceived
- The UC Davis Composition Program (now the University Writing Program) gratefully accepts a donation of 22 Apple computers and thus establishes the first computer classroom devoted to writing instruction in 247 Olson Hall. Today most writing classes at UC Davis are taught in the five computer classrooms in Olson Hall.
