Aley Green Brinley was born 15 August 1885 in Harold, Wieborger Co., Texas 1 to William R. and Matilda J. (Atteberry) Brinley. He married Gertrude Frances Weber (27 September 1885-14 March 1961 2 July 1916 in Winters and had two children Betty Ann Brinley, who died young, and John Weber Brinley.
He was a station agent for the Southern Pacific Railroad, and was honored in Davis by having the A.G. Brinley Plaza and the A. G. Brinley Award named after him.
