Bob Poppenga is a UC Davis Professor of Clinical Molecular Biosciences, with a specialty in toxicology. He works in Maddy Lab, studying diagnostic testing methods for animal intoxication, wildlife toxicology, and biomarker development to better define exposure to toxicants. He was elected as trustee to the Davis Joint Unified School District Board of Education in 2016 and served until 2020.
