Attend a Field TripCalifornia Duck Days takes place in the heart of the Pacific Flyway, the migratory route for millions of birds,  and features a wide variety of field trips, workshops, and activities for people of all ages.

Duck Days officially begins with a Welcome Reception.  In 2021 an outstanding wildlife art exhibit created by high school students of Yolo County will be on our website www.yolobasin.org.

Hold a DucklingDuck Days is a family oriented, community-based outdoor festival. Field trips are led by some of the region’s most experienced birders and naturalists. On-site activities for families include interactive exhibits, wetland themed arts and crafts, trout fishing for kids, and much more. The Exhibit Hall features adorable mallard ducklings as well as some of the raptors currently being cared for by the CA Raptor Center. There will also be a mobile aquarium that will showcase many of the species of fish found in our local waterways. Food is available on-site for purchase.

California Duck Days is a collaboration between Yolo Basin Foundation, California Waterfowl, City of Davis, CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, and the Yolo Audubon Society.

Admission for CA Duck Days is $20/car. Field trips cost an additional fee. All those interested in registering for a field trip are encouraged to preregister due to limited space..

2012-02-18 20:16:12   Hi Constantia, I'm forwarding your question to the organizers at Yolo Basin, but I believe you pick up the physical tickets when you check in at the event itself. Let me get your question to the coordinators and I'll let them know that this isn't readily clear! —KelseyCondell

2012-02-18 23:41:20   @ KelseyCondell Would be great, yeah! I guess we won't receive them through regular (snail) mail anymore (because it's next week). There was this possibility to print the receipt, but there's really not much on it (it's almost empty). Thanks! —ConstantiaOomen
