The CivEnergy.com Community Organization Directory (CCOD) promotes collaboration by connecting citizens and community organizations so that citizens can find: services that they need, volunteer opportunities, organizations that they want to join, and organizations to which they wish to donate. The directory is designed to consistently stay up to date as new organizations form, change and dissolve. To achieve this goal of having the directory stay up-to-date,CivEnergy takes a two-part approach. First, each organization is asked to maintain its listing over time through periodic email reminders. Second, the users of the directory are encouraged to provide suggestions and comments about listed organizations which are forwarded by CivEnergy to the organizations.
The CCOD was developed in 2019. The development team put together initial listings of 350+ organizations.
CivEnergy is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit, local Davis organization that provides election information to voters through forums and its website.
