Gina M. Surkala Daleiden was first elected to the Davis Board of Education in the Fall of 2005 and was re-elected in Fall of 2010. She served as President of the Board (dates?), and her term ended in 2014.
She has worked as a Deputy for Yolo County Supervisors Helen Thomson and Jim Provenza. In September, 2015, she accepted a collateral assignment as Interim Executive Director of First 5 Yolo. In January, 2016, she was appointed to the full position, and will stop working for Provenza's office.
