NOTE: Hacienda Halaguena has closed and is now Winterhaven Sporthorses.
Hacienda Halaguena styled itself as "horse boarding for the discriminating horse owner." It was in a location approximately 10 miles from Davis, Dixon, Winters, and Woodland. The average stall was 12' x 14' with a 12' x 32' paddock; but there were "lesser" and "greater" stalling arrangements; the average fee was $355.
There were three arenas (very large lighted sand jumping arena with all-weather footing; large lighted covered arena with sand/rubber footing; dressage arena with all-weather footing). There were 6 turnouts and 2 lunging arenas, a 0.4 mile galloping track and a hill. Horses were bedded on shavings that were cleaned 6 days per week, and fed alfalfa, grass, or oats (owner's choice). They offered free trailer parking. Training was available.
