The Harry H. Laidlaw Jr. Honey Bee Research Facility is located near the University Airport. It is the largest and most comprehensive state-supported apiculture facility in North America. It is part of the over 65-year-old bee research program on campus.
On January 10, 2008 they hosted a tour for the National Beekeeping Conference.
