Joy Richard "Dick" Blanchard (3 March 1912 to 28 March 1996) was librarian at UC Davis and the first librarian at its School of Veterinary Medicine. His wife was former Board of Education trustee Christine Blanchard. The Blanchard Community Room at the Davis Branch of the Yolo County Library is named in his honor.
