Mixed Heritage Week is an annual celebration of the mixed experience. Started in 2005 as a joint effort between the Cross Cultural Center and Mixed Student Union (a student organization for mixed students, formerly known as the MOSAIC). Mixed Heritage Week seeks to empower members of the mixed community, comprised of individuals from many racial and ethnic communities, including people who identify as multiracial, multiethnic, and transracially/transnationally adopted. Programs featured within the week, such as the Mixed Photo Exhibit, also educate the larger community about issues faced by mixed individuals.

This year, Mixed Heritage Week will be held on February 29-March 4, 2016.
