Robert Hardenbrook (born 11 June 1920, died 20 July 1979, Bakersfield, CA) was superintendent of Davis Joint Unified School District from 1970 to 1975. He then took on the role of principal of Pioneer Elementary School until 1977, when he moved to Bakersfield, California. Hardenbrook earned degrees from Chico State College and Humboldt State College. Prior to arriving in Davis, he worked at the Riverside Unified School District.
