With the Classical Pilates System, you will get an invigorating, full-body workout that meets you where you are.

Lift Pilates was founded in 2002 by owner Laura Cotler, Certified Pilates Instructor. They are in their original location at 803 Second Street, Suite C in Davis, California. Laura's primary focus is working with men and women with chronic pain and injuries. Laura works with clients who are post-rehab, post-natal, post-mastectomy, injured athletes, or those who are merely feeling achy and stiff and want to be able to bend over and touch their toes! Did you know that Pilates was originally developed as an exercise for men? It's true! A lot of men still do Pilates and in fact, about a third of Laura's clients are men!

Some people do Pilates because of chronic back pain, and others because they want a stronger core and better overall strength and flexibility. Her clients are referred to her from physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, or self-referred. They offer New Client Specials and have competitive pricing. They believe that Pilates is for everybody, and their goal is to design an exercise program for you that you love, so that you feel good about your body and to continue to move and feel good as you age.

Pilates was developed in the early twentieth century by Joseph Pilates. This unique form of exercise has been practiced for more than 100 years, and many believe that (when taught by a qualified instructor) it is a safe and highly effective form of exercise for strength and rehabilitation. Pilates has a world-wide following, and is practiced by star athletes, office workers, supermodels, stay-at-home parents and people from all walks of life.

The following are benefits of Pilates:

You will increase your strength, flexibility, and balance, and have the posture you have always wanted.

You will feel empowered by an energizing, full-body workout that is gentle to your joints and meets you where you are right now.

You will feel calmer, have less stress, and move better, and those nagging aches and pains will diminish.

You will get an invigorating, full-body workout customized for you.
