Beginning on October 14th, 2021, a rumor circulated that UC Davis would be offering suicide booths to students who failed midterms. The booths were to be available to students at the cost of "25 cents per hour of on campus death" and would be available in the Social Sciences and Humanities Building1. This was later found to be false 2, as Davis had no plans to operate for profit suicide booths and Chancellor May did not "flip his shit" about seeing squirrels. This erroneous article was subsequently removed from the UC Davis subreddit and surprisingly the creator was not banned, despite his best efforts.
