2006-07-02 20:35:02   I've been reading about the opposition to the vaccine too, drives me crazy, esp the reasoning behind it. I think my only options are either moving to Antartica or to Mars in the future. —ES Yes!! It is simply astounding! I've thought about it and I can only think that they want their children to get infected with HPV and get cancer if they disobey them and have sex. I'm hard pressed to find a distinction between preventing a vaccine from being available (and preventing their kids from getting it) and creating an STD for the purpose of preventing people from having sex. It's biological warfare and we're our own enemy. Bizarre. -KJM

2006-07-02 21:00:36   That's actually a major part of V for Vendetta. —ES

2006-07-23 21:26:06   yum! ...so whats it take to become a guest? :P —ES

You have to be a scientist who has just completed recent research, a sci-fi author, music composer, public intellectual, or someone that has made wild claims that need to get smacked down! :) KJM

Clearly, "crackpot" is the one to work toward, considering the relative efforts... I wonder if this applies to life in general... —SteveDavison

I haven't given any honey to crackpots that have been on my show yet... but they'll get theirs. Except Mr. Super Bowl XL. -KJM

2006-07-24 21:03:23   Do you know of Leo Laporte? I recently found out about a new podcast he's doing called Futures in Biotech. Can ya recommend me any other cool science/tech pocasts? —ES

2007-02-15 03:00:30   Your article is out. And I did go to the event, and the words "straw man" were pounding through my head.... I completely agree. (And I like your summary of SO's events, esp. as I was included in the video) —MaxMikalonis

2007-06-22 01:56:40   hey karl, thanks for editing my page. indeed i've been editing a bunch, but such things happen when one is unemployed and is addicted to the intert. anyhow, i recently edited the matriarchy page on the wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matriarchy . It originally was only talking about human societies, but since i've never seen a composite list of matriarchal societies, i thought i'd include non-human animal matriarchal groups. can you think of any? i'm interested in your feedback. i hope all is well out in wisconsin! chao chao. —JessicaRockwell

2007-07-21 20:02:35   Hi, Karl. I appreciate your concern on the "GVCC Talk" page about people using someone else's IP address. I used to go to GVCC and I personally know Clifton Burton and Dale Sorbello. Now that they've left GVCC they can talk to us again. —RichLindvall

2007-09-05 22:22:04   Seriously agree!. Mind posting that on the Ban SO page? I bumped it earlier. —EdWins

2007-09-05 22:59:19   Your edit broke my mind. Or the wiki. Did you intend to paste in a handful of words? I'm guessing either the merge goofed or you accidently hit save? —JabberWokky

2007-09-05 23:00:56   Nevermind. It was der Labster that caused the cruft. Too many editors at once. —JabberWokky

2007-09-06 00:41:15   I do believe that you've asked the most unanswered questions of Steve. Maybe Craig can confirm this. —JasonAller

2007-09-06 00:46:19   Yeah I persisted, and was direct about it. So tired of beating around the bush and seeing him obfuscate. —KarlMogel

2007-09-06 14:02:44   dude, funny the first time not the third. —PxlAted

2007-09-07 17:51:34   Yes, it has come up a handful of times in the past month or so. There are four roommates, IIRC: Alexander, Steve, Gabe and one other (possibly two others — one of the roommates doesn't socialize much with the others). Pretty much all of this is from the DavisWiki IRC channel, so it's basically gossip, but it goes back long before this started getting heated, so it is not likely some sort of cover story. If I had to hazard a guess, Steve edited from campus earlier... I called him today, and he was on the bus, possibly headed home. —JabberWokky
