Michelle Koehler is a long time Davis resident. She graduated from Davis Senior High School in 2004 and went to the California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) and achieved a B.S in Sociology.

Michelle enjoys Davis immensely as an adult. The post-graduation world is far more interesting than the college world. Davis provides a rich atmosphere in which to challenge common preconceived notions and social norms. She finds that many of the residents are eager to participate in discussion of ideas and add previously unexplored perspectives. The community atmosphere in Davis is something Michelle finds unique to Davis and she enjoys thoroughly.

Her purpose for helping with the Wiki is to clarify and clear up misinformation. She welcomes questions and discussions of all sorts.

In her downtime, Michelle enjoys swimming and outdoor shenanigans.

Currently, she lives in Davis and works for UC Davis.

2012-08-05 18:53:31   How many shares in the coop are you gonna get? You brought up some fairly awesome points from a viewpoint that isn't often considered, you should share them with the co-op board —StevenDaubert

2012-08-05 19:20:07   I'm not sure yet, but I'll probably continuously buy shares to support. I just started my job so I'm waiting until my first paycheck to sign up for a membership. I know it sounds absurd, but I was unemployed for a stretch so I've been scrutinizing where I spend money.

I think I shall email the board of directors with what I wrote! Thank you for the encouragement to do so Steven! Are you a current Co-op member? —MichelleKoehler I'm a co-op member vicariously (thru a household) and I've just had fond memories of the place (the small carts were awesome) and it's interesting to watch the change that occurs Daubert

2012-08-22 22:11:47   Yup! I think it was my exposure to feminist theory before soc that really changed my perspective, but I definitely love watching the sociological imagination click on for my students! —MeggoWaffle
