2007-01-16 21:57:49   Greatest Pizza in Davis, However some of their employees have a bad attitude, im not gonna name names... Anyone else notice that? —JosephStevens

2007-02-28 18:53:45   It's pizza. Yay! —BriannaBetancourt

2007-03-18 20:41:56   Two nights ago, I got an order delivered... the food was good but the person who delivered it to me was very rude. She called me three times in one minute to tell me to come down. When I left a ten percent tip on the recipt, she scowled at me and asked for her pen. I told her to have a good night despite all this and she just ignored me and got in her car... seriously, i understand for drivers, time is money, but calling me three times in such a short space to tell me to hurry is simply NOT nice. Above all what's with being rude and mad at me for my tip? She wasn't bussing my table or being a waiter, she was simply delivering it to me. It makes me feel as though I shouldn't have left a tip at all for her! However, other drivers in the past have always been kind and courteous to me :/ i guess it was just one bad experience? or she was having a bad night... —CalvinCheng

2007-04-11 23:19:33   You're right CalvinCheng, she sounds rude. However "simply delivering it to you" is more difficult than being a waiter. While the customer is never expected to tip, delivering pizza isn't easy. Drivers are usually hustling from 7pm till closing time. Each drive out involves delivering several orders while figuring out the most time efficient route. We also have to pay our own gas costs which can really eat up a paycheck. Granted, we chose this job. Most of us delivery drivers find it kinda fun and challenging, but tipping the driver is a great way to make sure your pizza is always delivered first and made just right. —DaveCar

2007-04-14 11:52:59   I travel quite a bit and I am amazed when I tell people I from the Woodland/Davis area how many of them know of, talk of, rave about Woodstock's!! I agree with all of them. This is the best pizza in the region!! —rpatte

2007-04-14 12:10:26   Woodstock's is great but if you want to try a pretty authentic NY style pizza try Giovanni's in Natomas. —rpatte

2007-04-14 19:24:05   1 and half hours for a pizza said the guy. waited for three. all the toppings sloshed to one side of my garlic bird which was cold, and not even ready after three hours when i went to pick it up. Trash. Lime chili not so chicken breast on bagel dough with hardly garlic mayo and huge uncoked out of season tomatoes. trash. Woods is good when other people order but i got the shaft. UNcool woodstocklioni. just because im not in SAMMIes or stoned doesn't mean i dont appreciate food. —oxnardmalfoy

2007-04-30 16:30:19   I've eaten here a couple times and honestly, Steves Pizza is way better —CindyBanh

2007-05-26 20:22:01   There's a cool sketch of the Band-uh on a big poster on one of the walls here. Apparently, the drawing was done by a band alumnus from the 80s. Can anyone verify? I've also heard that there's one on campus (maybe Dutton Hall) of the same drawing, or something similar, but I haven't been able to find it for the life of me. Any leads? A similar drawing (I'm convinced it's the same guy) has a drawing in the Cal (Berkeley) band's centennial coffee table book... —EddieKim

Band member Steve Schuman did both the CAMB and Cal Band posters. There were a bunch reprinted in the late 90s. Should be one or two copies hanging around the Band Room if you want a closer look—it's pretty funky when you look at the details. —RussBowlus

2007-06-09 18:59:55   Great Pizza when you're there, for some reason delivered and to go the pizza loses its soul. The Pesto Primavera is awesome But substitute the broccoli. The cinnebread is good too. —heyitsdimo

2007-07-01 19:01:01   I just ate there a few days ago after not eating there for over a year. Nothing has changed. With half the employees high all the time, and the other half screwing around, just imagine what else gets into your pizza that you don't want. No thank you. —Anonymous

2007-07-19 18:44:42   Only good slices everything else sucks bad employees dirty and mostly rude there been one time where someone was nice take your tip cup and stick it up or trash can —dickjones

2007-08-05 18:24:29   Decent pizza and they're open late... but God forbid you actually order something in the evening. I've been charged for non-existent toppings 3 times in a row now (apparently, uncooked tomatoes is a difficult thing to remember on a pizza). My friend was charged for a soft, gooey UNDERCOOKED pizza, and when she called to complain they told her that next time she "should just order it well-done." So be warned: apparently, you need to request that your food be cooked all the way through. Terrible attitudes = terrible pizza. —Chronoz

2007-08-12 19:44:35   Nice place. Just moved here and was really impressed with very nice bartenders, bouncers, and friendly folks. Didn't try the pizza, but the beer and atmosphere are pretty cool. —Casey

2007-08-20 10:24:31   They were friendly and the pizza was great! I loved the Peanut Butter Pie! A muchie paradise! —Erin

2007-09-09 23:06:07   Tried the pizza this evening. Excellent. Lighter than Steve's. The wait's kind of shitty, but what can you do? It was fresh and great though. —Casey

2007-10-12 02:23:06   I am very disappointed in Woodstock's. They don't do the pepperonis touching anymore and their large pizza is 17 bucks for ten slices. —JackkiCox

2007-10-15 23:45:58   Totally disgusted with quality and service. You have to call way in advance if you plan on getting delivery in a speedy fashion in the evening. Had a delivery person give me guff when I apologized that I didn't have enough for a proper tip. Ridiculously overpriced too. Woodstocks is garbage. I just eat frozen pizzas now. Cheaper, tastier, and more convienient. —RobertSooHoo

2007-10-26 16:49:30   Will Woodstock's teach me how to throw the dough balls if I make them? That's what I really want to know. —RussellMcCandless

2007-10-28 22:53:37   If you really want to get your money's worth here, you have to go for their night owl special or for their lovely lunch special. I absolutely loved their lunch special! Their artichoke spinach pizza is to die for, and their cheese and pepperoni are delicious as well. They make their crusts all folded in a way my boyfriend loves, and they use a nice blend of herbs on their sauce. The people working there are also very friendly, and the service is good. Don't forget to take a look at the adorable dragon on the wall! See you there! —AnnaF

2007-11-03 17:20:45   Woodstocks is my favorite pizza in davis. I prefer it over Steve's, Lampost, Pizza Guys, and even (gasp!) Village Bakery and Symposium pizza. I've been going there for 6 years and have never been disappointed in quality. The pizza, wildebread and cinnabread are all fantastic. The bbq bird, firebird, and pesto primavera pizzas are particularly amazing. The employees definitley have somewhat of a "davis-scene" vibe going but they've always been pretty cool to me - never rude or particulary un-friendly. I'm also a big fan of their beer selection and general bar atmosphere, which is usually quiet enough for group conversations (save for pint nights) and relaxed. Too many woodstocks haters on here, this is a great place. —JakeJames

2007-11-05 16:43:33   I don't understand why so many people are complaining about Woodstock's. It's an awesome place! —Lynn

2007-11-05 17:20:08   I ordered 2 pizzas last night and had a "Buy 1 get 1 Free" coupon. I gave them the coupon number over the phone and he gave me the total. When I went to pick it up, the cashier asked me if I had the coupon for him, I told him no. He said "I absolutely must have the coupon" in order to give me the deal. He told me it says it right on the coupon. I offered to show him the coupon on my phone, and he said he "absolutely must have it in my hand" — Well, I get home and I look again, and the coupon merely says "Please mention coupon # when ordering."

That pissed me off. —PatrickFish

2007-11-06 23:44:49   Yeah the buy one get one coupons...you TOTALLY need the coupon.

2007-11-07 14:56:28   Yeah, I know...but it should say that on the coupon, not to "Please mention" it. —PatrickFish
