AP Driving School is a southern California-based driver's service that now offers driver's training and driver's education services in Davis, Dixon, Vacaville, Woodland, Winters, and Sacramento areas. It has no physical office but more information can be reached through their website or by calling their Davis-based instructor, Lindsay Brooks. They offer a flexible schedule, free pick-up and drop-off services, and enthusiastic, engaging instructors.

2012-09-28 14:49:52   My son just finished his driver's training with Lindsay Brooks last weekend (9/22/12). He had a great time during his time with Lindsay - not only getting the required training, but having fun conversations with the instructor. My son found Lindsay to be immensely intellectual and full of information about a variety of things. I think that is a great quality for a teacher to have. My son really looked forward to his time with Lindsay. I would totally recommend AP Driving School, especially Lindsay Brooks. I really appreciate Mr. Brooks giving my son such a wonderful experience. On top of that, it was very easy to set up the initial appointment online and the price was in line with other driving schools. Once you start with one teacher (and Mr. Brooks is the only one for the Davis/Woodland area), you have tha same teacher for the entire time. Thanks. —LauraSchaap

2013-12-02 19:32:21   My son took Driver Training lessons through AP Driving School with Mr. Lindsay Brooks this last summer (2013), and I was extremely pleased with the experience we had. Mr. Brooks possesses outstanding teaching skills and also has a very warm and professional manner. He relates very well to teens and is patient with even the most inexperienced new driver. I have recommended Lindsay Brooks to friends, and I'm pleased to give him my most enthusiastic praise. As soon as we met Mr. Brooks, I knew I'd made the right choice. Plus my son appreciated his new and safe vehicle that was used during the training (Honda CR-V). I was impressed that Mr. Brooks thoroughly explained what each lesson would cover, as well as the "why's" of the rules of the road for a new driver filled with questions. Afterwards, he shared with both of us how the learning was going with each lesson. I appreciated the guidance on what areas to work on with my son at the conclusion of the lessons. We will probably sign up for an additional lesson before my son takes his driving test at the DMV, just to be sure he's fully prepared for the test situation. When searching for a driving school, I took the time to carefully check all the online reviews that I could find for every driving school within 50 miles of Davis. I decided on AP Driving School and Lindsay Brooks. I'm very glad I did so. My son got a great start and is well on his way to being a confident and safe driver, thanks to this excellent instructor. —LisaHenderson

2014-03-10 16:47:21   Had 6 hours of driving lessons with Mr. Brooks and truly learned a lot from him. You can instantly tell that he is knowledgeable and experienced, and genuinely enjoys teaching. He makes driving lessons fun with stories that stay in your memory, but also manages to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
