The Beginning: A somewhat short lived shoegaze band, Drouz consisted of 5 members and only performed a handful of live sets, that is if you consider a handful to be less than 2 and more than zero. Starting their first set with a snide but well received "We wanna be louder than 'My Bloody Valentine(1)' " Drouz played a short but sweet set at Gatsby's Mansion amid about 25 people sucking away on E-cigs like they were going out of fashion. At least one person(2) thought it was too loud but stayed anyways. Members of Drouz have notably written the now infamous "Denton Do It Yourself TX" logo on various chalk boards in at least one house, and tattoed Zzz on their ankles.

An End: Although they eventually acquired a practice space, Drouz liked to practice in other places too, which eventually yielded a smaller electronic based lineup dubbed "Arouz". The band unofficially split after their debut gig, but not without recording a small EP that you can't really hear the vocals on, except for one song. The alleged EP is still floating around on a hard disk in Denton somewhere. Keys to their practice space, supposedly right next to the Toadies, were given up and the previously mentioned "Zzz" tattoo became slightly less ironic.

It should be noted that stark controversy arose (ha) after none of the band members decided to remove their equipment from their practice room after months of not returning their keys. So if you want a drum kit, and a few really loud amps, I'm sure they're still there.
