Out of the yuppie tourist hellhole that is Florida and into the Republican-infested Lonestar State, Joshua's been a musician for about 15 years. Offered a development deal by Atlantic Records at age 20 and once a part of the indie label band Oblivion, he fronted Denton-based group enemies for five years. enemies was fueled by Joshua's "pomp, piss, and vinegar," according to the Dallas Observer. Now fronting The Deadpan Poets, he wails like Jeff Buckley with the swagger of Jim Morrison and the cynical anger of Scott Lucas (Local H).
