Northside Barbershop is a barbershop in Denton, Texas.

One of the oldest Denton barbershops in existence, Northside is celebrating the beginning of its second century. This barbershop is one of the few, if only, that does straight razor shaves in town.

2011-01-20 00:03:03 This barbershop is hit and miss depending on what you are looking for. While it is fun to reminisce about the good old days, the reality is quite a bit different for this particular shop. If you are looking for a good haircut at old-fashioned prices, then you'll be fine. I went here on two occasions. Under the previous owner, I allowed a barber to trim my beard who frankly stated that he had never trimmed a beard before. Under the new owner, I got a straight razor head shave. He was in a rush, nicked my head 5-6 times, and didn't even finish the job. Debbie, the new owner, advertised the barbershop's re-opening by saying, "Not Just Your Dad's Barbershop."
